Casey Kuhns of the University of Northern Colorado Space Grant Team sent in these pictures of their robotic rover, built for the Colorado Space Grant Consortium's DemoSat research program.
As part of DemoSat, the rover was lifted to an altitude of 100,000 feet by a weather balloon. “We chose the rover because it is a true challenge to build something small light weight and test it 20 miles up,” Casey says.
Big Blue Saw made the clear parts from polycarbonate plastic. Regarding Big Blue Saw, Casey tells us “You guys are simply amazing... you really made our project possible.”
