Big Blue Saw helped me a lot in getting a very custom design laser cut. I have recommended their service to several people already, and will be using them in the future.

I was very pleased with the price, and the product. A lot of shops will not even talk to you when you are trying to fabricate a prototype. With big blue saw I just uploaded the dxf of the faceplate I needed manufactured and began changing the materials and processes until I had what I wanted without ever having to talk to anyone. I will return to them with all of my manufacturing needs.

If you have any suggestions as to how we can make Big Blue Saw easier to use, please post them here.
You may remember Andrew Lindsey's quadruped robot, made using parts from Big Blue Saw, which we mentioned a while back. One of its most distinctive features was its glowing "eye", made from fluorescent uranium glass lit by ultraviolet LEDs.
Mr. Lindsey is now offering the robot eye as a standalone pendant. It would make a wonderful pendant or a great addition to a steampunk sculpture.
Here's a video of the pendant in action:
We've been getting a lot of work for people creating custom audio components and DJ control panels. DJ Tech Tools user TABS created this excellent control panel using Big Blue Saw. He also wrote a nice review of Big Blue Saw's services.
Our price for a part like this is approximately $25 each, with the price coming down to the $20 range if you order 10 or more.
Mister Starshine was not satisfied with commercially available music keyboards. So he built his own keyboard using the Jankó layout with hexagonal polycarbonate keys.
Here's a video of the keyboard in action:
The Jankó keyboard design has 2 great advantages:
Actually, this is just one of many types of alternate keyboard layouts created to make playing music easier. But with limited commercial availability, it looks like the best bet may be to make your own keyboard.
