We've heard your requests and have added several new features, including the ability to store new file types on our server, better file management features, and smoother integration with the Big Blue Saw Designer. Read on for more details.
For those of you who are not familiar with My Files, it serves as a way to store your part designs on our server for use when you need them. You can access My Files by clicking on the My Files link on the Big Blue Saw home page, or by clicking on the My Files link on the Big Blue Saw Designer page.
Our most requested enhancement was allowing all of our supported file types to be stored in My Files. You can now upload PNG, GIF, and DXF files, in addition to JPX (Big Blue Saw Designer) files.
Within My Files, you can click the "Get Quote" link to get prices and order your parts made from your design.
You can now make a backup copy of any or all of your files. Just check the box next to the file's name and click the "Copy" button.

Next, we have added a feature that allows you to rename a file. Just click the "Rename" link for the file. You will then see a screen which allows you to enter the new name. Click the "Rename" button, and you will be taken back to your file list.
Finally, we changed the way Big Blue Saw Designer saves working files. Previously, the Designer would only write your most recent changes to the file "Big Blue Saw Designer - Recent.jpx". Now, when you use the "Edit" link to modify one of your files in the Designer, the Designer will save the file both to "Big Blue Saw Designer - Recent.jpx" and to the original file name.
The Copy feature of My Files is extremely useful when managing your most recent Designer file. When you're satisfied with the changes you have made to a file, or just want to make a snapshot of your work so far, copy the file "Big Blue Saw Designer - Recent.jpx", and then rename it to something easy to remember like "Tuesday's Handlebar Design.jpx".
